Grey Lynn

What it is

Tucked near the Grosvenor Street entrance to Grey Lynn Park, this free outdoor paddling pool is sized and shaped with the very youngest swimmers in mind. The hexagonal pool reaches a maximum depth of 0.75m, making it a comfortable spot for toddlers to splash about while parents settle into the ample seating around the edge.

Shade sails keep the sun off, and a lifeguard is on duty whenever the pool is open. Families who want to stretch the outing further will find a kids' playground right next to the water — an easy move for little ones once the splashing is done.

The pool operates during the summer months and is run by CLM on behalf of Auckland Council. Auckland Council's pool supervision policy applies, setting out the required adult-to-child ratios to keep tamariki safe.
