West Wave Aquatic & Leisure Centre

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ West Wave Pool and Leisure Centre is one of my favourite places for swimming and fitness, and having visited regularly, I’ve consistently had a great experience here. The facilities are excellent, with swimming pools catering to different levels and ages, along with a diving pool, wave pool, kids’ pool and jacuzzi. It’s a great place whether you’re learning to swim, training regularly, working on your fitness, or simply looking to relax and have some fun in the water. What stands out most for me is the quality of the swimming training facilities. There’s something here for everyone, from beginners and children right through to more experienced swimmers. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and helpful, which adds a lot to the overall experience. There’s also a gym, personal training options and a handy snack bar for grabbing some refreshments after a swim or workout. Overall, a well-maintained and welcoming leisure centre with plenty to offer and very good value for money. Definitely a place I enjoy coming back to regularly. Highly recommended! ⭐️🏊

Great pool, great facilities — and an unexpected lesson in human behavior 😂 Westwave Swimming Pool is a fantastic place overall. The pool is clean, facilities are well maintained, and it’s a great venue for swimming events and family visits. Staff and environment are both really pleasant. However, sitting in the spectator area came with a bonus experience: watching someone turn the seat in front of them into a personal footrest. One foot proudly parked on the chair ahead — clearly very comfortable for them, slightly less so for everyone else 😅. Maybe Westwave could consider adding a gentle reminder about spectator manners… because while the pool teaches great swimming skills, some visitors might still be learning basic land etiquette. Still a great place — just hoping next time all feet stay on the floor where they belong!
