Diary of a wimpy kid

Greg Heffley has a plan to survive middle school and become famous — but friendships, family, school politics and the dreaded Cheese Touch keep getting in the way. The story comes to the Aotea Centre stage as a full musical, with songs and choreography bringing Greg's chaotic world to life.

The cast is drawn from young performers across the Auckland region, presented by National Youth Theatre, Auckland Live's resident youth theatre company. The group has previously staged Disney's The Little Mermaid and The Wizard of Oz at this level.

Whether the kids in tow know the books inside out or are coming to Greg's story fresh, the show is built for family audiences. It is a strictly limited season.
