What it is

Housed in Auckland's SkyCity Precinct, the All Blacks Experience takes families through 120 years of New Zealand rugby across five interactive zones in a 60-minute guided session. The draw for kids is the hands-on training field, where they can try kicking and passing drills, but the haka performance tends to be what sends everyone home still talking — a multi-sensory live performance that lands with real weight.

The experience weaves Māori heritage throughout, exploring the whakapapa that underpins the national teams and the values — humility, teamwork, respect — that the All Blacks and Black Ferns represent. Stories are told by players who lived them, which gives the whole thing a credibility that a standard museum display rarely manages.

A VIP player tour option is available for groups wanting something more exclusive. There is also a retail space carrying official All Blacks merchandise, billed as New Zealand's largest stockist of the range.

My son and I had a great time at the All Black Experience. Liam was engaging, funny and very knowledgable. All the segment were great and immersive, I loved the haka and my son had a ball of time with the stations right at the end. Shame that we were in a rush to leave so we couldnt get the personalised TShirt or the players card printed. It wiuld have been great to have, but no regrets anyways.

Getting to see current players filming before our tour was pretty special. The whole experience is well planned to pull on all of your emotions and make you feel like you are one of the team. Seeing the connection the All Blacks and Black Ferns have with rugby and the deep rooted history was incredible. We've followed both teams from afar for years and this was a super cool discovery. Experiencing the Haka in our face may have brought some tears but only in all the good ways. Cess was an awesome tour guide, we highly recommend doing this even if you're not a big rugby fan. There was so much to learn and feel.

We did a group tour of the all blacks experience which I had no idea what to expect. Coming from America I have very knowledge of the game of rugby outside of knowing that the all blacks are a good team. Emma was an incredible guide with incredible energy and enthusiasm! I loved how interactive the experience was and I found the rugby games at the end especially fun! With a private group there were no kids to get in the way so we were able to try all the games with no disturbance!

Absolutely fantastic activity all round. Ruben took us through a fabulous journey through the all blacks history and passion for the game that can only be conveyed by someone who has a love of the game and team too. We were treated so well with polite courtesy and passion. Nothing was too much for him. Later we were lucky to meet with Ian Jones who also welcomed us with a big All Black welcome and photos for a Welshman patiently waiting for his team to get back up to the levels and passion of the All Black’s. Thank you all for the passion and “Hwyl” we we need back in Wales

I didn’t know what to expect going in and I’m really stoked that my friend recommended this. This was so much more than a look at a rugby team, I really loved the deeper dive in to the Maori and cultural history of the All Blacks and how that translates in to a phenomenal team culture for both our men’s and our women’s (Black Ferns) team. Also way more interactive elements to the tour than I was expecting which was awesome. My 10 year old daughter (no interest in rugby), my wife (will watch an All Blacks match) and I all really enjoyed The All Blacks Experience and would recommend to others.
