What it is
The Imaginarium returns to Aotea Centre as a special two-day experience, expanding on its sold-out run. Performers guide families through an immersive landscape of art, movement, light, sound, and storytelling, all woven around this year's theme: Our Natural World. Children and caregivers forage, adventure, and play together in interactive sensory environments designed to rediscover the joy of being a child.
Families can dance, build, and play with light, shadow, and projection in ways that are entirely their own. The experience is created by disabled and non-disabled artists, with accessibility at its heart — a space where everyone can take part in their own way.
The Imaginarium sits within a wider festival offering free activities and experiences for curious young minds and their caregivers.
