About
The grand opening of noodle stall 'Flying Mee Hoon Kueh' sets the scene for this immersive theatrical experience, where performer Talia Pua plays Petra — cooking her signature dish and unravelling the story of how it all began.
Petra and her twin sister Jena have shared a dream of running a noodle stall together since childhood. Things get complicated when Jena begins growing feathers, then a beak, then wings, and develops a decided interest in the sky. It is a coming-of-age story about twinhood, and the question of whether a shared dream can survive when one half starts to fly.
Written, performed, and puppet-designed by Talia Pua — directed by Miriama McDowell and winner of Playmarket's Asian Ink award — the show is pitched at curious young minds and their caregivers.
