About
Spellodies are a Tāmaki Makaurau family band with a knack for sneaking spelling practice into seriously catchy songs — the kind children sing on the way home without realising they've learnt anything. Winners of the 2026 Tūī for Best Children's Music Artist and the 2024 APRA Best Song for Primary Age Kids for their track Because, they bring a high-energy set of rock, folk, country, pop and funk, woven through with comedy sketches.
The show is part of Sunday Sessions — free music jams at Auckland Town Hall for little early risers and their grown-ups. Spellodies share the bill with The 95bFM Kids Show Live and The Stink Bug Band, making for a full morning of wrigglers, jigglers and star-jumpers.
Suited to ages 4–9, the concert sits within a wider festival offering free activities and experiences for curious young minds and their caregivers.
