SYNERGY

Synergy brings together a 40-piece live wind band — the North Shore Winds — and nine Auckland performance groups for a high-energy show at Bruce Mason Centre in Takapuna. The stage fills with acrobatics and aerial artistry from The Dust Palace, tap from Tap NZ, Irish dance from the Doyle Academy, lindy hop, lion and dragon dance from E-PACS, and performances from several other local dance and performing arts schools.

Families after a shorter outing can opt for the matinee, which runs at half the length of the evening show and opens with a pre-show set by the Youth Band and junior dance groups — a good fit for children who might not last a full two hours.

Children under three are admitted free on a caregiver's knee, with a lap ticket collected from the box office before entry. Accessible seating is available at the venue.
