Point Erin Pools
Point Erin Pool has been a Herne Bay fixture for more than 50 years, drawing local families back season after season. The 33-metre main pool handles everything from earnest lap sessions to leisurely lengths, while the dedicated dive pool gives confident swimmers a place to make a splash from above.

What it is
For those who prefer to take it easy, the family spa pool is a welcome retreat. Away from the water, a playground and basketball court mean children rarely run out of things to do — a useful bonus when siblings have very different ideas about how to spend the afternoon.
The pool sits within the Herne Bay community and has the well-worn, unpretentious feel of a neighbourhood facility that generations of Auckland families have genuinely relied on.
What other parents say
Point Erin is awesome in the Summer when it's open for people. But after it closes thay have a pool party for dogs and it is AWESOME! Meet my canine bros Toru and Kevin there. Best fun ever. One word if you have a dog that likes playing with other dogs and swimmining. GO
Amazing outdoor pools with water slides and two diving platforms where you can dive bomb or Manu. If there early you can get a carport and pick of the tables with shade unless already booked, which you can also do. Toddler pool, large spa and swimming lanes. They also put out an Aqua Run, which all kids and even adults love. Gets crowded from about 11am, and when we left at 3pm, people still coming in as it closes at 8pm.bbq's available to hire too. They café is basic, like the old tuck shop. No Cafe sitting at tables and fried chips, hot dogs and ice cream, the usual basics except nice espresso coffee. Changing rooms are great, you can still have a free hot shower and they are kept clean and not scungy, like, some council ones I have seen. The staff and lifeguards are alert and friendly. Would definitely recommend it.

Amazing experience. Attended bark in the park! Good location and good facilities
Went for an end of year school trip, Good place for the kids to have fun.
My kids LOVE this place most of all the pools in Auckland. Wish some parents would keep an eye on their kids though, especially around the diving boards. Lifeguard was helping one kid out of the water, while another was jumping off the board towards the ladder and hit the previous kid. Saw a few near misses and it was the same kids. One gave attitude to the lifeguard, too, and acted intimidating. The place is so well kept, clean, maintained, and so much room. Lots of shade. Love the spa. Kids loved the aquarun. Chicken nuggets were nice, so were the chips. Ended the day with slushies for the kiddos. Be nice to the lifeguards, and check before you jump. Watch your kids at the diving boards, especially if they struggle swimming. Definitely worth the price, in my opinion.
