Auckland City

What it is

Climbing the Auckland Harbour Bridge from the inside out is a proper adventure — guides lead small groups along custom-engineered walkways all the way to the summit arch, where a 360-degree panorama of the Waitematā Harbour and city opens up around them. The whole experience takes around two hours, and children who make it to the top tend to wear the pride of it for days.

All climbers kit up in Bridge Climb suits, which keeps the group safe and the experience consistent — phones and cameras stay behind, but the operator's own cameras are positioned throughout the route, with photos and video included. Children aged 7 and over can take part, with under-10s recommended to climb alongside an adult.

It suits families who want a shared physical challenge rather than a passive day out. The weight requirement (35–150 kg) means younger or lighter primary-school children may not qualify, so it's worth checking before booking.

My colleagues & I recently did the Auckland Harbour Bridge Walk and Bungy as a work social event. It was an absolute highlight. It was a fantastic team experience that struck the perfect balance of fun and challenge, with some adrenaline thrown in for good measure. The bridge walk was fascinating and exceptionally well run, with incredible views for the duration of the walk. Benny, our walk guide, was excellent — friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging, which made the experience even more enjoyable and inclusive for the whole group. The bungy jump itself was next-level fun. The running take-off was brilliant and added a real adrenaline rush. Sam on the bungy platform did a stellar job — completely professional while also being totally relaxed and reassuring. Being able to pick your own song for the jump is a cool personal touch and really adds to the moment. Overall, this was an unforgettable work event. Highly recommended for team-building or corporate events.

Incredible first bungee experience — unforgettable! I did the Bridge Bungy with AJ Hackett Auckland Bridge on October 24th, 2024 and it was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, this experience was one of the best adventures I’ve ever had — and what an epic way to celebrate my father’s birthday! Wanderlog First off, the location is awesome — right under the iconic Auckland Harbour Bridge at 105 Curran Street, Westhaven Reserve, Herne Bay, Auckland 1011, New Zealand, so you get that perfect mix of city vibes and adrenaline-rush views. Bungy NZ The staff were super friendly and professional the entire time. We had a bit of a wait for our jump, but honestly that was just because they were carefully getting everyone suited up, going over the rules, and making sure all the safety precautions were explained thoroughly. They kept everyone smiling and relaxed, which really mattered when it came time to jump! Wanderlog Walking out to the jump point — which involved crossing the street and heading under the bridge — was actually part of the fun. It added a bit of anticipation and got everyone hyped up before the big leap. The whole setup felt safe and well-organised. Bungy NZ A special shoutout to our jump instructor, Benji — what a legend! 😂 Not only was Benji friendly, super accommodating, and great with everyone in our group, he also had a wicked sense of humor that really helped calm any nerves. And yes, he’s a VERY good-looking guy too (LOL)! His positive energy and encouragement made the whole experience feel fun and personal — not rushed or chaotic at all. Being my first ever bungee jump, I was anxious, but thanks to the knowledgable crew, I felt safe and pumped up. And honestly? Once I leapt off that bridge, it was the craziest thrill ever! The mix of adrenaline, the views of the harbour, and just pure fun made it unforgettable. I absolutely would do this again — and I will do this again next time I’m back in New Zealand. If you’re thinking about trying bungee jumping, especially for the first time, this is the perfect place to do it. The crew, the environment, and the entire experience are world-class. Highly recommend! ❤️

Awesome staff along the way, no matter in Auckland or Queenstown. Fantastic people, getting great courage from them. It's really a leap of faith for sure, especially with all the amazing staff taken care of me along the journey, it's even better. Even though I didn't ask for their name, they are just very kind and professional. I understand that for all the staff to doing this nearly everyday and with that many people, it could get very exhausting, that's why it's even more impressive for them to be able to keep the vibe for each of us. Please do let each and everyone of them know that I am very grateful to have them by my side (before I jump off obviously) when I was on the platform, giving me even more fun and courage. Hope this could be an encouragement for them, if not, then a pure positive feedback to them. Thanks again. Next time will still choose you guys.

I had such an awesome time bungy jumping for the first time! The crew really made sure you knew the process to have a fun and stay safe doing it. I would certainly recommend and do it again if you have the budget for it. Not a cheap experience for something that you briefly get to enjoy but I still think you should put this on your bucket list to bungy jump at least once in your life. At least you don’t have to pay extra for the photos I wish the photo shots were taken from the angle facing the city instead of the opposite direction. The pictures would have been 10x cooler if the city was in the backdrop.

Insane experience. Never did I feel that it was unsafe. Managed very professionally and the video edit after was so so good. A must do activity if you are all up for adventure and thrill.
