What it is
Wero Whitewater Park packs a genuine adventure day into a single site, with two purpose-built river courses, a 9,000-square-metre lake, and an onsite climbing area. Families tend to make a beeline for the Tamariki River — a Grade 1–2 course open to children from age five — where groups can raft the rapids and opt for a swim down to finish. Birthday packages add catering and the option of kayaking or paddleboarding to round out the celebration.
Older thrill-seekers can step up to the River Rush course, with Grade 3 rapids and a 4.5-metre drop down the Pump Waterfall, or tackle the Extreme version where the waterfall is conquered twice. The lake offers flat-water kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding at a gentler pace, including a giant inflatable board that fits up to eight people.
Wero Climb sits onsite for anyone who wants to head off the water — a high-ropes adventure course from age six and a kids' course from age three keep younger climbers busy while the bigger ones tackle the river.
What other parents say
We did the Wero Climb adventure for a work event. It was a really fun activity and I felt very safe after the safety briefing and with the help of guides who were around the park. I especially loved the red wrecking ball, the red car at the top level and the white pedal obstacle. The boat was really funny, and the swing was fun. I even managed to walk the plank and ring the bell! All round a fun experience, would love to return to try the obstacles I didn't get to like the zip line I think I saw!? Thanks a lot to the team who were really friendly, supportive and made it a great morning.
Had a great time with my daughter And niece. The instructor was really engaging with the children which made it more enjoyable. Reasonably priced too. The kids and i loved it. X

Super safe & SO SO much fun! We took a group of kids & teens & they had the most epic time & came home exhausted! The staff were so fun, helpful, encouraging & informative! Shout out to Bree & Greg for their amazing customer service & helpfulness! Highly recommend for group events, even for adult groups. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing experience for a birthday party for a bunch of teens. The guides were knowledgeable and so friendly and helpful. The kids had a blast. The caterer was also so friendly and accomodating. The pizzas were delicious! The vegetarian pizza was incredible, highly recommended. Everything from the staff to the facilities to the activities were bang on. We’ll definitely be back 😊
My family of three, which includes a 9 year old, loved this event on vacation!! Two hours was plenty to learn time be safe and try the rapids several times. Options were available for swim levels to drift downstream. Our guide, George, was amazing and persistent with the three children in our raft without being harsh. Video is purchased separately for your experiences. The changing area is large and clean.
