We visited the Auckland Botanic Gardens with my 84-year-old dad and had a wonderful experience. We borrowed a wheelchair, and they also offer mobility scooters free of charge, making the gardens very accessible. The weather was beautiful, and the landscaped gardens were stunning. We especially enjoyed exploring the themed gardens, including the delightful Potter Children's Garden. Although the roses weren't in season during our visit, there were plenty of other flowers in bloom, adding vibrant colour throughout the gardens. It was a relaxing and enjoyable outing for all of us.

Auckland Botanic Gardens is truly a gem. Thanks to all the gardeners and volunteers, the gardens are exceptionally well maintained, with every area looking beautiful, thoughtfully presented, and enhanced by lovely sculptures throughout the grounds. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy nature, breathe fresh air, and admire the wide variety of flowers, plants, and trees from New Zealand and around the world. The themed gardens are beautifully designed and peaceful to walk through, with plenty of space to relax and appreciate the changing seasonal colours. Some areas are also pet friendly. Whether for a quiet stroll, family outing, photography, or simply escaping the busy city, this is one of Auckland’s most enjoyable and inspiring green spaces. Highly recommended.

The gardens are always so lovely; beautiful and relaxing at every time of year. And free, which is amazing. Great little cafe as well, and plenty of benches sprinkled about for my Mum and Nan to rest during our two or three hours there.

Grounds were absolutely breath taking and well kept. Gorgeous peaceful place. Some plants are still in bloom. Lots of colors, many trails to take and choose your own adventure. The cafe was perfect after a rainy walk for a treat and hot beverage.
