The surrounding views are simply breathtaking. How beautiful must the artist's imagination have been, when He painted the picture of this beautiful country into existence. The skies gave an amazing dash of color when mixed with the ocean and the green meadows. When you come here don't only explore the lighthouse but take your time to enjoy and absorb the beauty of nature

A visit to Manukau Heads Lighthouse provides stunning views and the fun thing is, you can actually go inside the lighthouse, and it's free entry until 5pm. The lighthouse is about an hour and half drive from Auckland through some pretty countryside. And if you come in season, there's blueberry picking down the same road. A great day trip!

Stunnnnning views and beautifully maintained. Good parking and public restrooms etc but millions of little flies/midges at the top of lighthouse and view point meant we didn't stay looking at the views for very long sadly. We did have a lovely picnic at one the wooden tables at the base of the lighthouse.

Its an amazing place to be at if the weather is good. The view was amazing and the drive to this place was worth it. Just get some food and drinks along as theres no cafe or restaurant close by.

A worthwhile diversion! A lovely little pice of history with a stunning view and an appreciation of how remote lighthouse keeping would feel like. There is a lovely food spot a short drive away called Settlers Rest. Hold on the picnic and head there for refreshments!
