What it is

Snapper and kingfish are the main targets, and the skipper draws on a range of methods — slow jigging, softbaits, topwater, mechanical jigging, and livebait fishing — adjusting to conditions on the day. Individual seats on shared trips are available alongside half and full-day private charters, so families can choose whatever fits. Families staying on Kawau Island can arrange a collection and drop-off directly from the island.

Fantastic day out with Jonathon. He worked hard to find us the fish and was constantly searching for improvement. We had an excellent day out and seeing whales and dolphins was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend!

Jonathan has to be the most dedicated charter operator me and my friend have ever come across. Right after picking us up he ran us through the well thought out plan for the day taking into account fishing reports, wind and tides and it worked a treat! Best snapper fishing we ever experienced regarding both, numbers and quality. Many more other species caught and great value! Will be back for sure!

Had a absolutely great day. Jonathan is awesome. Put us on the fish. Used different methods and all of them worked. Very quick boat with latest tech on it. Everyone caught fish and had fun. Highly recommend this charter
