Weekend Market
Freemans Bay Market
Freemans Bay Market runs several times a year at the Freemans Bay Community Hall, and it is really two markets sharing a room. One half is a makers market: local artists and small crafters bringing handmade jewellery, art, candles, clothing and homewares. The other is a garage sale, where community sellers clear out pre-loved clothing, books, toys, vintage pieces and home baking.

What it is
That combination is what makes it worth the trip with children. The garage sale half is cheap enough that a child with pocket money can actually buy something, and the range of stalls means nobody is bored after ten minutes. It is indoors, which takes the weather out of the decision, and the hall is central enough to fold into a wider morning in Freemans Bay or Ponsonby. Entry is free and there is usually something baked to eat while you browse.
What other parents say
It was a spacious and well equipped community centre for organizing events and gathering at large scale.
We always have our church worship service at this place every Sunday 10am..good place, enough for 200 guests and attendees..with big kitchen and rooms for kids sunday class..

Great place & strategic location for organising event within 200-300 pax in city area! Awesome job #AucklandCouncil
Nice big hall, but parking slots are limited for this huge hall
This place has a large and excellent dance floor, in addition there is a good area to serve meals or refreshments. Off street parking is limited, but there's plenty on nearby roads.
