What it is

Contemporary dancers and community performers take to Myers Park in costume and sculptural headpieces, bringing to life the DoGGeBi — mischievous, shapeshifting nature spirits from Korean folklore, said to be born from old everyday objects and drawn to playful encounters with humans. The event is inspired by the public artwork BTM 도깨비 (DoGGeBi) by Sunghwan Park, and invites audiences to follow performers as familiar surroundings transform into an unfolding landscape of goblin characters.

Alongside the main performances, choreographer and creative director Cindy Yunha Jang leads Ephemeral: A One-Day Performance Lab — a workshop where participants experiment, collaborate, and create short performances drawing on movement, sound, light, text, and visual art. Costumes are designed and the workshop facilitated by Steven Junil Park.
