Potters Park

Potters Park sits on three hectares at the corner of Balmoral and Dominion Roads, and its splash pad — Auckland's first — tends to be where children make a beeline on a warm day. The water play area is ringed by a well-equipped playground, with an accessible toilet close at hand.

Beyond the splash pad, a basketball court sits near the playground, while a learn-to-ride track at the eastern end of the park gives younger cyclists room to build confidence. A band rotunda adds a little character to the green space, and plenty of picnic tables and seats are scattered throughout.

The park is threaded with flat or gently sloping paths that are accessible and suitable for prams and recreational cycling. Radiata pines, queen palms and phoenix palms throw generous shade across the reserve, making it a comfortable spot for families to settle in for the afternoon.
