What it is

The Royal New Zealand Ballet's DANCEwithME Showcase brings local Year 5–8 students onto the professional stage at Due Drop Events Centre. After six weeks working with an RNZB Dance Educator, the students perform original dances they have created themselves — not a rehearsed recital, but work genuinely made by the kids.

It is the kind of event where younger siblings sit wide-eyed watching someone they know command a proper stage, and where the performers themselves get a taste of what it feels like to dance under the lights.
