DEPOT Ceramics Studio

DEPOT Ceramics Studio is part of DEPOT Arts and Music Space Trust, a genuine working arts hub in Auckland where ceramics sessions run alongside a busy programme of exhibitions, workshops, and live creative activity. Families can book into ceramics sessions and experience making in a space that takes craft seriously — not a drop-in novelty, but a proper studio environment.

Group bookings are available, making it a solid option for a shared outing with another family or a small group of older children who want to try their hand at the wheel or hand-building. The on-site shop, Toi Toa, sells handcrafted work from artists across Aotearoa — ceramics, jewellery, pounamu, prints, and Toi Māori — so there is plenty to browse before or after a session.

DEPOT also hosts First Thursdays events and a rolling programme of exhibitions, meaning a visit can easily stretch beyond the studio itself.
