The Kids Sing - Auckland Region 2026

The Auckland regional event of The Kids Sing fills Auckland Town Hall | Hōro ā-Tāone o Tāmaki Makaurau across three days, drawing more than 3,000 young musicians from over 50 schools. The programme spans a massed singing day alongside two days of choral competition for those schools choosing to enter.

The range of musical styles is broad — Māori, Pasifika, New Zealand, international folk, popular and more — so the sound shifts considerably from session to session. Families can choose between daytime sessions (payment at the door) and evening Gala Concerts, for which pre-booking is required.

It is a rare chance to hear school choirs performing at this scale in one of Auckland's grandest venues.
