What it is
Pizza Making Wednesdays at Howick Historical Village puts children to work alongside chef Sach from Wedg Ave Woodfired, learning to make dough and hand-stretch it before loading up a 12-inch pizza with toppings of their choice. The workshop runs for an hour — enough time to get properly floury without losing anyone's attention.
While the pizza cooks in the woodfired oven, families can wander the Village itself. When it's ready, the plan is simple: find a picnic spot and eat it for lunch.
Each child goes home with a full-size pizza included in the experience. Adult supervisors are welcome to join and can purchase Village admission on arrival. Free tickets are required as spaces are limited.
