What it is

At Hologram Zoo, the animals are real enough to make children stop in their tracks — but every creature is a holographic projection built from laser light. Kids wander through immersive scenes, coming face to face with exotic wildlife and dinosaurs rendered in lifelike 3D, without a cage or enclosure in sight.

The space is designed for interaction rather than passive watching. Children can get close to the holographic creatures, explore themed environments, and engage with sensory experiences woven through the visit. A single session runs approximately 40 minutes, with a double session available for families who want to linger longer.

Hologram Zoo also caters for children's birthday parties and school excursions, with dedicated packages for both. Parental supervision is recommended for younger children.

Took the kids to Hologram Zoo in East Auckland and it was such a cool experience! ✨ The place is super clean and well-organized, perfect for families. This time we did a movie + indoor playground combo, and it was awesome! 🎥🛝 The kids had a blast, and everything felt fresh and exciting. To top it all off, there was even a fun photo session at the end—such a perfect way to wrap up the visit. 📸🌟 Can’t wait to come back and try out a different film next time!

Good experience. Virtual zoo and animal encounter. My 3year old didn't quite enjoyed it but the rest did. There's a great play area.

Wouldn't recommend. Too quiet. Hardly heard what was said. One hologram wasn't working, told the operator. Not sure if working still. Small animations are very short. Glasses thankfully are sanitized. If looking for a good time indoors, better to spend money on movies or a timeout arcade centre.

The hologram show is very cool, first of its kind here in nz and such a great option for something new to do in akl. Tied in with the kids indoor playground it really is better than chipmunks not so busy and the cleanliness is great. My 23mth old really enjoyed herself i will be looking to book her bday party here next month. Great place for kids 👏
