What it is
Geneva AM — producer, beat maker and vocalist of Ngāti Ruapani mai Waikaremoana, Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairoa, Aitutaki and Palmerston whakapapa — performs her three-times Aotearoa Music Awards-nominated debut album PIKIPIKI with the Ngā Whetu Ensemble, a rotating cast of string players who first joined her on "Toitū Te Tiriti". Experimental light artist Catherine Ellis wraps the show in an immersive installation that transforms the theatre into a sensory environment, with no strobes but light as a central feature throughout.
The stage is extended for the event so families can move and dance together rather than sit at a distance. The show runs for 60 minutes with unallocated seating. Hearing protection is recommended for small children, a quiet lounge in the foyer offers a calm retreat, and changing tables are available in the accessible toilets.
