Auckland Philharmonia Community Bash

The Community Bash is the Auckland Philharmonia's open invitation to instrumentalists and singers of all ages and all abilities to make music together in Auckland Town Hall. With an orchestra swelling to more than 300 participants, it is one of the most joyfully chaotic musical gatherings in the city's calendar.

Special arrangements are provided at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, so whether a child has just started violin lessons or a parent last touched their flute a decade ago, there is a part to play. Singers are equally welcome. The programme includes Orff's thundering "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana, Grieg's In the Hall of the Mountain King, and waiata by Tāwhiro Maxwell and Te Okeroa Huriwaka.

Note that Violin 1, Violin 2, Cello, and Flute places are waitlist only — registration is still open for other instruments and voices.
