What it is
Armageddon Expo takes over Auckland Showgrounds with two halls packed with exhibitors spanning local authors, artists, comics, and retro collectibles. The gaming set-up runs from new releases to classics, and all of it is free to play — a strong draw for kids who want to get hands-on from the moment they walk in.
Beyond the gaming, there are board games, trading card games, food trucks, and cosplay to take in. Celebrity guests include actors and voice actors, with a Supernatural line-up headlined by Jared Padalecki.
