What it is

Cornwall Park sits within Auckland as both a working farm and a green urban escape, woven through with history and nature. It is the kind of place where a family outing can stretch across several hours simply by following wherever curiosity leads — open land, heritage, and farm life all within reach of the city.

The park carries genuine historical depth, with a history significant enough to earn UNESCO Memory of the World recognition, and its character as a real working farm sets it apart from a standard green space.

It suits families who want room to roam and something of substance to discover, rather than a tick-box attraction. Events and activities run through the year, giving regulars a reason to keep coming back.

Check the weather before you go. Several trees... well-maintained landscapes and walking areas. Expansive with several areas dedicated to farming and livestock. Picnic and BBQ spots.dotted around the park. Limited parking that fills up fast so plan your time of day as well. Overall.. Great green space that provides a sweet escape from urban and metro life. Two thumbs up!

Very big public park, totally free, you can climb up the mountain and see the maungakiekie/mountain of the kiekie vine which is that a 21-metre stone obelisk, built in 1940, serve as a memorial to the Māori people, great culture. There are some public parkings for free and bathrooms to use. Absolutely amazing place. And also you can see many sheep and some cows there

What a lovely visit to this magnificent park. It's clearly a favorite for walking dogs. We enjoyed walking in the park, lots of paths and a great walk up to the summit. Great for families, picnics, exercise or just relaxing. There's magnificent trees and lush greenery. Always a joy to visit here.

World class park all the way! It has everything one could possibly want at a park: Lush landscapes, shady nooks, sweeping views, benches, a cafe, gardens, perfect paths for walking/biking/running, clean restrooms, promenades, overlooks, picnic areas, and… sheep! There may be individual features at other parks that shine brighter, but Cornwall is an overall perfect park.

One of the most beautiful places in all of Auckland! The park is truly breathtaking. It has an incredible number of beautiful and enormous trees. There are also plenty of grassy areas where you can sit. Perfect for unwinding, relaxing, or taking a stroll. There's plenty of parking.
