What it is
Groups can book shared experiences together, and the venue also caters specifically for birthday parties and team-building outings — handy when a standard outing needs a bit more structure.
It sits at ground level in Newmarket, making it easy to get into and out of. For families with kids who burn through energy quickly, an hour or two fighting, racing and solving puzzles in virtual reality sends everyone home genuinely worn out.
What other parents say
We had our son’s 10th Birthday here at VR Voom, because he is a mad gamer. We booked the party room with the 1hr Gold package. The kids got an hour enjoying the VR rooms and the another hour in the party room. Luke was an absolute superstar - fantastic communication and the guys were brilliant supporting the kids on the day. The party room is a great space - great size and the parents got to catch while the kids had fun playing VR. Highly recommended - you can bring in your own food and the staff are super helpful.
Had a great time with my family trying different VR experiences, the lady who served us was very lovely as well. Would recommend. 🙂

An amazing and mind-blowing VR experience. Lots of choices of games and many to play with a group of 4. Took my dad here for father's day and he had great fun getting to shoot zombies and his sons 😁. Found parking nearby easily enough on the weekend and was a great way to spend over an hour.
That’s me in those pics 🤩 Great gaming zone. Recommended to everyone. Staff is nice and friendly as well. They have their own parking so that’s all sorted.
I took the kids in to VR Voom over the holidays. We really enjoyed the experience. It was great to see they had free parking in a small upstairs car park and the staff were friendly & helpful. The only reason it got 4☆ instead of 5 is that there seemed to only be one staff member helping people out. When one thing had finished & we wanted to move to the next, the guy was busy with other customers & there was a bit of a wait between each experience. This is understandable tho given how businesses have been effected by covid & the owner may not be able to pay extra staff, it wouldve been good to have another staff member assisting tho. There were also a few out of order machines which my little girl really wanted to try as they looked like good ones for smaller kids. Not a major at all tho as there were others. Overall it was a good experience, and I'd say worth what we'd paid especially if you get a grabone coupon. I'd recommend The VR Voom to anyone that can't afford the huge prices at places like Rainbows end or Kelly Tultans.
