Silverdale Village Market, Silverdale

Weekend Market

Silverdale Village Market

The market has run in the same spot for years, spreading from the ground around the Silverdale Hall into the street beside it with a couple of dozen stalls. Growers bring fruit, vegetables, eggs and seedlings; alongside them are jam and preserve makers, oil and skincare producers, jewellers, knitters and a steady turnover of vintage and secondhand finds. It is small enough to walk in twenty minutes and level enough for a pushchair, which makes it a gentle first outing for families who want to be out early without committing to a whole day. Children tend to gravitate to the food stalls and the trays of seedlings, and there is usually something to taste. Coffee and baking are close at hand in the village shops. It runs every Saturday morning through the year, so the mix shifts week to week with the season.

Silverdale’s weekly market is truly a gem for locals and visitors alike! Running rain or shine, this market is a reliable and vibrant fixture in the community. While it might not be the biggest market in Auckland, it has something special that sets it apart—its heart. The eclectic mix of stalls offers everything from fresh, high-quality fruits and vegetables to beautifully handcrafted goods and unique vintage treasures. It’s a wonderful blend of the practical and the whimsical, with something for every taste and interest. Whether you’re stocking up on produce, hunting for one-of-a-kind thrifting finds, or simply looking to support local makers, this market delivers every time. The best part? It’s the people. The stallholders are friendly, down-to-earth, and genuinely passionate about what they’re offering. There’s an authentic community vibe here that you just don’t find everywhere. Real local folk, creating and sharing with pride—it’s a market that feels like home. For anyone in or near Silverdale, this market is an absolute must-visit. It’s not just shopping; it’s an experience that leaves you inspired and eager to return week after week.

Poorly number of salers with very average stock, needs a right rocket as used to be a boomer.

Not what is used to be with lotscof wholesale shops. Really a driveby to new silverdale. Though the barbershop below northern union is great and the bin inn a bit further down and rodney auto up the street and the pill shop across the road
