Orewa WinterY Festival

The WinterY Festival brings 20 tonnes of real snow to Orewa Beach, giving kids the rare chance to properly pile into a snow mound by the sea. Alongside the snow, there is face painting, clown entertainment, giant games, children's activities, and giveaways to keep the day moving.

The Polar Swim is a crowd favourite, open to all ages, with cash prizes on offer. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, and every swimmer who takes the plunge receives a free coffee, hot chocolate, or ice cream afterwards. Characters Elsa, Olaf, and Homie the Gnomie roam throughout the day for those inevitable meet-and-greet moments. Free tickets are required as spaces are limited.
