More Than Toast - Live Cooking Demo

Trained chef, food stylist and cookbook author Rhiannon Baldock brings her debut book, More Than Toast – How To Cook and Have Fun Doing It!, to life in a live cooking demonstration at Manurewa Library. Known on social media as @inrhispantry, Rhi focuses on everyday home cooks, sharing recipes that are easy to follow and big on flavour.

The session covers fresh ideas, clever shortcuts, and new ways to breathe life into old favourites, finishing with a tasting so attendees can try the results for themselves. There is also time to bring burning kitchen questions – Rhi welcomes all of them, no matter how tricky or embarrassing.

After the demonstration, Rhi will be on hand to sign copies of the book and meet the crowd. The event is part of We Read Auckland / Ka Pānui Tātou i Tāmaki Makaurau, presented by Auckland Council Libraries. The venue has wheelchair access and an accessible toilet.
