What it is

The Waitematā Station Plaza in Auckland's CBD transforms into a dedicated football fan zone for the New Zealand International Football Festival, giving supporters of all ages a chance to get close to the game. Interactive skill challenges inspired by the world's best players sit alongside football goals and photo opportunities, with draws running for prizes including tickets, exclusive access, and meet-and-greet experiences at the Festival's international fixtures.

The Hub also hosts a programme of special appearances. Auckland FC players are scheduled to meet fans during the festival, as are players from Tottenham Hotspur, making it a genuine draw for young football fans keen to see professionals up close.

It is a school-holiday event that brings tournament atmosphere into the heart of the city without needing a match ticket, and the skill challenges give kids something active to do rather than simply watch.
