STEM in SPACE at Flat Bush Library

Flat Bush Library hosts a drop-in STEM session with a space theme, giving kids a chance to try two hands-on activities in one visit.

On the coding side, children learn to write code to land a spacecraft — a satisfying introduction to programming with a clear, tangible goal. On the engineering side, they build a mechanical claw designed for collecting moon rocks, the kind of making-and-tinkering that tends to hold attention long after the session ends.

No prior coding or building experience is needed, and the drop-in format means families can turn up and get stuck in at their own pace.
