What it is

Happy Time is an indoor playground in New Lynn built around children aged 0–8, offering a soft play area alongside an arcade zone where kids can trade tokens for games. The two spaces give different-aged siblings room to peel off and do their own thing, while parents settle in for the session.

The arcade runs on a token system, with unused tokens held at the front desk for the next visit — a small touch that removes the usual end-of-day scramble. The playground has its own membership scheme, bulk-visit passes, and quarterly Member Days with extra interactive games and prize giveaways.

For birthdays, Happy Time offers private party packages with full setup included and BYO food welcome, so there is little for parents to organise beyond turning up. A solid wet-weather option for families with under-eights who want somewhere to burn energy indoors.

Celebrating our son’s 3rd birthday here was absolutely worth every penny! The venue was spotless, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. The kids had so much fun and were genuinely happy, which made the day even more special for us. I truly hope more families discover this amazing place because it would be such a shame if a wonderful venue like this ever had to close due to a lack of customers. They really deserve all the support. A huge thank you to the entire team for making our son’s birthday party so perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we’ll definitely be back! Celebrated my 3-yeear old boy's birthday here and it was lovely. Kids and grown ups had so much fun. The place is so clean and the staff are very friendly. They went beyond what's normal and helped a lot in the prep and decorations. I wouldn't be surprised if we celebrate here again next year :)

Love this playground! It’s new, super clean, and perfect for younger kids. My daughter and her friend had a great time here! The staff are really friendly, and the place is well-organized. I believe it’s also a great spot to host birthday parties. Highly recommend it if parents want some downtime!

5 stars for the environment! Absolutely love bringing my baby here as has always been clean. It’s nice and open with bright lights. The first time we took her, she was 8m & I was told that it’s not until they’re about 10m that they start paying, but the other (3) times we’ve been- I’ve had to pay🥴 and the last 2 times we’ve been there’s been parents and kids in there WITHOUT socks, which is gross to me.. especially having babies on the ground everywhere playing. There’s signs that say you must have socks but it’s obvious the staff don’t reinforce that rule. Might need more/bigger signs in regards to the socks cause entering the playground it only says no shoes. But for the love of hygiene please reinforce the need for socks- especially when they’re sold on site!

Just wanted to shout out to Iris who is a great asset to happy time. She was great with the children and made sure everything was in working order. When an incident occured today she handled it very well. She is such a happy and friendly worker to have in a children's playground and great under pressure. Great job Iris, we truly appreciated your work today.
