What it is

Artist Nikau Hindin brings her manu aute kite-making practice to Te Uru Contemporary Gallery in Titirangi for a hands-on workshop rooted in Mātauranga Māori knowledge systems. Her bird kites are not simply craft objects — they carry messages of collective hope and resistance, pulling something intangible from memory and giving it physical, living form.

Suitable for all ages, though children under 10 need to be accompanied by a caregiver. Places are limited and registration is required.
