What it is
Beginners can make a beeline for the learn-to-skate lessons, which cater to all skill levels and need no advance booking. Helmets, skateboards, scooters, and rollerblades are available to hire on the day, so families don't need to arrive fully kitted out. One-on-one lessons are also available for those wanting more focused coaching.
Themed weekly sessions — including a free Rangatahi session, a Wahine night, a Scooter Club, and a dedicated BMX night — give regular visitors plenty of reasons to come back. Birthday parties can be booked for exclusive use of the space, making it a ready-made active celebration for a group of any skill level.

Awesome set up and our son and his friends had heaps of fun! I seriously can’t recommend these guys enough, super accommodating, going above and beyond for the kids to have a skate. Super affordable too! Will definitely be back!

Attended a friend’s kids' party at SonSK8 and had a brilliant experience. Our host, Sam, was fantastic with the kids, kept the energy high, and went above and beyond (even fixing my son's bike on the spot when it broke). Highly recommend here for a party of your own, or a fun school holidays activity.
Highly recommend SonSk8!! My kids have been going to the Beginner Skateboard lessons for couple of months now and it's amazing to see them gaining confidence on the skateboards and having fun at the same time. The coaches are super cool. Michael and Sam have great patience with kids, and Aaron always comes up with fun games. Thanks SonSk8 Team. You guys are awesome!!
I’ve taken my young children to SonSk8 a few times now and can’t speak of these guys highly enough. The Coaches - Aaron, Michael and Amber have been so incredibly friendly, welcoming and are super passionate about skating and getting children involved. They provided the helmets and skateboards too! My kids have unlocked a new passion and gained so much confidence skating (they looked like they have so much fun that even I gave it a go - I’m 36 years old and have never skated!). Highly recommend for anyone wanting to give skateboarding a go - you won’t regret it.
