Takapuna Winter Lights

Takapuna Winter Lights transforms central Takapuna into a dazzling winter wonderland across Hurstmere Green, Potters Park and Waiwharariki Anzac Square, curated by internationally acclaimed light artist Angus Muir. Expect large-scale interactive light installations, immersive light art, live performances and tasty food offerings spread across the heart of the suburb.

This free (tickets required though, and can be secured from 3 July), family-friendly festival is a fantastic excuse to wrap up warm and head out for a magical evening together — no wonder it drew more than 60,000 visitors across just four nights in 2025.
