Cardboard, creativity, and zero limits — The Creative Kids Collective is coming to Western Springs.

A van full of cardboard boxes, household recycling, and loose parts is heading to Western Springs Garden Community Hall, and the kids are in charge of what happens next. Build a rocket. Construct a castle. Tear it all down and start again. At a Creative Kids Collective session, the only rule is that imagination leads the way.

This is hands-on, open-ended creative construction play at its best — indoors, free-form, and completely kid-directed. It's also a brilliant lesson in rethinking rubbish, giving new life to materials that might otherwise be thrown away.

Tape and scissors are provided, but if your little builder likes to go wild, bring your own for unlimited crafting power.
