Pukekohe Tenpin Bowling

Pukekohe's tenpin alley runs ten lanes under one roof, enough that a family rarely waits long for a pair. Scoring is automatic and the lanes take bumpers, so younger children can bowl a full game without the ball disappearing down the gutter every turn, and lighter balls are kept in the racks for smaller hands.

Next to the lanes sits the Time Out room, a set of arcade cabinets and driving machines that gives children something to do between games and tends to absorb the last of an afternoon. Food and drink are served off the same floor, so a session can stretch into a meal without moving the car.

The alley sits inside the Pukekohe Cosmopolitan Club, and visitors are welcome rather than members only. Lanes are worth booking ahead at weekends.
